SKOWHEGAN — The Oceanside and Mount View high school wrestling teams tested their mettle on Saturday, Jan. 10 at the Skowhegan Tournament, with the Knox and Waldo County squads getting strong individual performances from select mat athletes.
Of the 30 competing squads, the Mariners finished 11th with 39 points, while the Mustangs were 22nd with 15 points.
Both Midcoast teams had a grappler nab a fourth-place finish as Oceanside's Alex Rackliffe finished in that spot in the 220-pound weight class and Mount View's Anthony Barnard the same in the 145-pound class.

Oceanside

160 pounds — Damien Benner lost by forfeit to Logan Stevens, Skow; and lost by forfeit to Sam Woodard, OaH.
